The ICC Cricket World Cup 2023 will be the 13th edition of the quadrennial tournament and it is being held entirely in India this time around. A host of top cricket stars from around the world are taking part in the ODI showpiece which will see a total of 48 matches to be played across 46 days. 3. England vs Ireland, 2011
Ireland, the minnows were set 328 to win by England in a world cup clash. Enter Kevin O Brian. He belted the fastest century in world cup history to guide Ireland to a three-wicket win.
4. India vs Zimbabwe 1983
India were reduced to 17/5 and then 77/6. Enter Kapil Dev and he perhaps the greatest ever knock in world cup history. The legendary allrounder belted 16 fours and six sixes to make an unbeaten 175 helping his team to a match winning total.
5. India vs West Indies, 1983
India ended West Indies dominance with a win for the ages. In the final of the world cup, India were bowled out for 183. Mohinder Amarnath and Madan Lal shared three wickets apiece as West Indies crumbled to 140-all out and India became the world champion.
