AFCAT 2024 Notification Released For 317 Posts, Application Process From December 1

AFCAT 2024: The online application process is expected to commence on December 1 on the official website of Air Force afcat.cdac.in

The Indian Air Force (IAF) has released the notification of the AFCAT (Air Force Common Admission Test) 2024. Through this recruitment drive, as many as 317 vacant posts will be filled in the Flying, Ground Duty (Technical), and Ground Duty (Non-Technical) branches of the Indian Air Force. Along with this, there will also be applications for the NCC Special Entry Scheme (Flying Branch).

The online application process is expected to commence on December 1 on the official website of Air Force afcat.cdac.in/AFCAT and also in careerindianairforce.cdac.in. The last date to register is December 30. The date of AFCAT exam will be announced soon and the course will start in January 2025.

Eligibility Criteria for AFCAT 1 2024

Flying Branch: To join the Flying Branch of the Air Force, one must have passed 12th class with at least 50 per cent marks. They must have studied Physics and Maths subjects in 12th. After this, candidates must have cleared graduation with 60 per cent marks in any discipline or BTech with at least 60 per cent marks.

Ground Duty: Must have passed 12th with Physics and Maths subjects with at least 50 per cent marks. Must be a graduate with at least 60 per cent marks in engineering or technology.

NCC: Must have passed 12th with at least 60 per cent marks in Physics and Maths subjects. Along with this, it is necessary to be a graduate in any discipline. Apart from this, it is necessary to have an NCC C certificate with at least a B grade.

Salary in Indian Air Force

If you become an officer in the flying branch of the Indian Air Force after passing AFCAT, you will get a salary of around Rs 85,372 per month. Whereas in Ground Duty (Technical Branch) the salary will be around Rs 74,872 per month and in Ground Duty (Non-Technical Branch) the salary will be around Rs 71,872 per month.
