The new Koffee With Karan 8 episode will revisit Kareena Kapoor’s feud with Ameesha Patel.
The new KWK promo revealed Karan Johar teasing Kareena with Ameesha.
But what caused the feud?
It all began in 2000 when Ameesha replaced Kareena in Kaho Naa Pyaar Hai.
Kareena was to make her debut opposite Hrithik Roshan in the film.
But she left the project, leading to Rakesh Roshan replacing her with Ameesha.
In 2002, Kareena took a jibe at Ameesha’s look in the movie.
She told Filmfare that Kaho Naa Pyaar Hai was a Hrithik film and the makers did not focus on Ameesha.
Kareena said she noticed ‘pimples and under-eye bags’ on Ameesha’s face. She said, “She just doesn’t look beautiful, but every shot of his was a dream.”
“If I were in the film, I would have definitely got a better deal, but I still feel that the attention would have divided between us,” she added.
Ameesha remained silent about the comment for two decades.
Earlier this year, she told Siddharth Kannan that she remained tight-lipped after Bebo’s comment because she was taught not to be disrespectful.
“The bottom line is that Sonia was me, I did justice to the character, the film was a hit. Nobody can run away from this reality,” she said.
